Ford Motor Co., marking another step forward in its goal of electrifying its most iconic models, will reveal on 12 November, the all-new E-Transit, the fully battery-electric version of the best-selling Transit cargo van.
The E-Transit, as previously announced, will feature a variety of chassis options, including a cargo van, cutaway and chassis cab. It will be available in three roof heights and three body lengths.
In making Thursday’s Transit announcement, Ford noted its continued support of the Paris Agreement, which lays out a global framework for combating climate change.
“Even before COVID, that transition to e-commerce was beginning,” Mark Kaufman, Ford’s global director of electrification, told the press. “It’s really just further accelerated that trend [...]

Available later this year the new all-electric e-Traveller will be one of a small number of eight- seat electric Minibuses on the market. It puts out 134bhp and 192lb ft, enough for a 0-62mph time of 13.1sec and a top speed of 80mph.

The 50kWh battery allows a range of up to 143 miles on the WLTP cycle. Two types of on-board [...]

If your organisation is looking to install electric vehicle charging points in the near future, act now and save money. This week the government announced that from the 1st of April 2020 the grant for workplace charging scheme (WCS) will be set at £350 towards a chargepoint socket at work through the WCS. This is a reduction from £500 to £350. The new rate will apply to installations on or after 1st April 2020 and will apply to voucher applications submitted on or after 1st April 2020 for WCS.
However they also announced a doubling of the number of sockets allowed under the WCS from 20 to 40. To date over 120,000 domestic chargepoint installations have benefited from HMG [...]
Ford has confirmed that an all-electric version of its hugely popular Transit van will hit the American and Canadian marketplace in 2022.
The reinvented Transit will be made in the US, most likely at a new purpose-built EV production facility in Michigan, and forms part of the company’s $11.5 billion (£9bn) global electrification strategy.
A preview sketch shows that, in panel van form, the new Transit will largely retain the silhouette of the current model, but – as is usually the case with electric versions of combustion vehicles – it will likely feature a blanked-off grille and bespoke lighting clusters.
Ford has revealed that, like the current Transit, the electric version will be available to buy in van, truck and cutaway cab forms. Buyers can also choose from three body length and roof height options.
It is not yet known precisely what will power the electric Transit, although it can be expected to share some [...]

Funded by the Government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), the Workplace Charging Scheme provides a grant for businesses to reduce the cost of having an EV charge point installed at their premises.
The grant allows businesses, charities, and local authorities to claim 75% of the total cost of installation, up to a maximum of £500 per socket installed, and with a maximum of 20 sockets across all sites for each applicant. Firms based in the United Kingdom (exc. Channel Islands and Isle of Man) can claim and don’t necessarily need a plug-in vehicle on the company’s books.
The charge points are required to have a need declared for them on application, which could include: existing EV fleet vehicles, [...]
The service kit consists of the 3 products designed to make your vehicle run smoothly and efficiently and can help reduce issues with your dpf as a course of preventative maintenance.
Included in the kit is a fuel conditioner. This is not to be confused with cheap ones available on the market. The one provided in the kit is a high concentrate and very powerful at removing deposits on injectors and other areas that suffer from carbon and soot.
There is also an engine cleaning flush to be added before your oil change. This helps remove deposits of carbon from around the piston rings and other areas of the engine that cannot be reached normally. In doing this it helps retain the correct compression in the combustion cylinder and this in turn helps the engine run at its most efficient.
The final product is an oil additive. This is an amazing product that stops soot deposits binding to the oil. It therefore keeps the oil at its best for longer and lets it do the job of protecting your engine.
