Red Kite’s first all electric minibus is now ready to order. The new fully electric PEUGEOT e-Traveller is perfect for smaller group travel and adapts to your requirements thanks to its 2 lengths (Standard and Long). Its modular configuration can accommodate up to 8 people with 1,500 litres of boot volume; up to 5 people with 3,000 litres of boot volume; or 4,900 litres due to its removable seats in rows 2 and 3.
The all electric e-Traveller contains a high capacity high voltage 50kWh battery, ingeniously installed to maximise space in the passenger compartment and boot. It has a range of up to 148 miles WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedures), with [...]
The announcement follows the fully electric Vauxhall Vivaro-e earlier this year. The Vivaro-e Life MPV has space for nine passengers, while the 50kWh battery provides a range of up to 143 miles (WLTP). Seating nine, it uses the same 134bhp motor and 50kWh battery as its Citroën ë-Spacetourer and Peugeot e-Traveller siblings for a 143-mile range.
Available in two lengths, standard and long-wheelbase and with a maximum towing capacity of 1,000kg, the Vivaro-e Life also sports electric sliding doors, moveable leather seats and a panoramic glass roof.
Available later this year the new all-electric e-Traveller will be one of a small number of eight- seat electric Minibuses on the market. The e-Traveller is mechanically identical e-Expert panel van, with the same front mounted electric motor as the Peugeot e-208. It puts out 134bhp and 192lb ft, enough for a 0-62mph time of 13.1sec and a top speed of 80mph.
The 50kWh battery allows a range of up to 143 miles on the WLTP cycle. Two types of on-board charger are offered – [...]
If your organisation is looking to install electric vehicle charging points in the near future, act now and save money. This week the government announced that from the 1st of April 2020 the grant for workplace charging scheme (WCS) will be set at £350 towards a chargepoint socket at work through the WCS. This is a reduction from £500 to £350. The new rate will apply to installations on or after 1st April 2020 and will apply to voucher applications submitted on or after 1st April 2020 for WCS.
However they also announced a doubling of the number of sockets allowed under the WCS from 20 to 40. To date over 120,000 domestic chargepoint installations have benefited from HMG grants as [...]
Funded by the Government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), the Workplace Charging Scheme provides a grant for businesses to reduce the cost of having an EV charge point installed at their premises.
The grant allows businesses, charities, and local authorities to claim 75% of the total cost of installation, up to a maximum of £500 per socket installed, and with a maximum of 20 sockets across all sites for each applicant. Firms based in the United Kingdom (exc. Channel Islands and Isle of Man) can claim and don’t necessarily need a plug-in vehicle on the company’s books.
The charge points are required to have a need declared for them on application, which could include: existing EV fleet vehicles, to add [...]
